Just wanted to show this guy off. Someone brought him into our store a few weeks ago and no one has shown interest so I decided to snag him today.
My main question is if anyone has experience mixing these with other species of catfish. I would like to integrate him with my Rita or Auchenoglanis at some point

Thank you, I’ve currently moved him into a quarantine tank housing a young C. blanci, some clown loaches, and a mouth almighty cardinal I’m planning to deworm soon

I’m hoping mine does not end up a devil, but if this is the case, I think staying with my O. septemfasciatus, who’s only tankmate that could hold its own against him is a Rita (another bagrid).

we had this fish for a good 3 weeks who we unknowingly placed into a community tank with tetras and rainbowfish along with some large plecos. There seemed to be no apparent issue but maybe they prefer to be the largest fish in the tank? (Based on your accounts of them not deliberately eating smaller fish)
