The African Giant Mantis reaches a full length of four inches?....that's like false advertising lol...I remember when we were kids there was this rumor that it was against the law to kill a mantis.

It's a beauty for sure but with that name it just sounds like it should be bigger than that...at least eight inches if not a foot lol.
 
i know what you mean, just had a little search and some mantis get 8 inch...

I've seen photos of some pretty big walking sticks but not many really big mantids....nice find on the photos by the way.
