My new Geophagus Surinamensis

What do you think? Does he have potential? He's about 4" right now.

He is!! I swear, every time the camera comes out, whether it's my phone or the Nikon, he's always trying to swim right in front of the lens
It's great for when I'm trying to take pictures of him, but not when I want to get the other fish!

Yup, that's the way mine is... I went to feed today and opened the lid and peered into the tank, and he got impatient and splashed me BIG TIME, completely soaked me haha. Guess that's his way of saying stop fooling around and feed me!

Which is probably why I was able to get the cool shots I did yesterday (in my oscar thread)

He's about 5", and I agree with peathenster, looks like altifrons (pure surinamensis are very hard to find)
