Thanks for clearing up that it was an Altifron...I have been looking through my fish books and online trying to figure it out for a week now. They all seem to look so different in coloration from fish to fish.......

No worry's man, I don't mind. Geo's can be pretty hard to ID sometimes.

Yeah, this is one of my greatest craigslist finds. Plus the guy I got them from said they were 3"-4", and they turned out to be 6".

I bought 5 of these from the LFS on Delancey St in Manhattan probably more than 1 year now and they were labeled as Surinamesis, they look exactly like yours.

Very nice pick up on the altifrons! Your's look pretty simliar to 3 of the 4 altifrons I have. The 3 for your reference are a beautiful gold, green and red and I can see yours look very close. My larger altifron is more of a silver/green and red variety. You have some beautiful fish! Keep it up!
