Sweet fish!!

Your going to keep a Tigrinus is cold water?

Yeah I thought Tigs liked mid 70's water temps and fast moving water?

I will thoroughly research before I buy one. Obviously I need to do more work on the Tig.

Lookin good, can't wait to see some size on this little guy later.

I wouldn't risk putting a Tig in with a bagarius species. A lot different water parameters and big $$$ loss when the bagarius kills or eats your Tig. Tig's do just fine in higher current/o2 water but need normal tropical temps like 74-84 degrees, that bagarius should be 68-74ish I'd say although I've seen them acclimated to warmer waters over time.

u eventually would need a fast flowing cold water pond for that beast

it would be my dream to keep a bagarius in an artificial environment at my place
although i can get one for less than a $ :D

I have a 5 inch Bagarius yarrelli in with an 8 inch tigrinus (they are the only fish in the tank) and I keep them in low to mid 70 degree water with SUPER high surface agitation from twin Maxi-jet 1200's aimed at each other. So far they are thriving, but as the Bagarius grows, I could have some problems as Amazonfishman has stated.

beautiful fish, but i have to ask...how big of a tank is that thing eventually going to need to live comfortably. i mean, they get huge. what is the long term plan?

Sweet goonch, how big do these get again?
