I just brought this big girl home(I'm guessing its a girl). She originally was brought in by Mr G. I picked her up from a very nice gentleman in the Bay area, and yes I paid 3k I feel like an animal like this was worth it. I'll tell you when I was moving it from ice chest to tank it was quite an experiance I don't want to do that any time soon again:WHOA:.
Now to get a smaller version from George then my obsession should be ok for a while. Anyway having a 31" aimara in your living room is KooL to say the least, I am very pleased.
Take care everyone

I don't know if it is a hoplias aimara, but if it is xr is going to die of a heart attack LOL

Looks really mean! Nice fish!!!

yes that a true goliath wolf, i'm guessing it's "Kong" from dookies collection correct?

FYI- rare fish is a vendor- not a place to put pics- photo lounge is where this goes;)

DANG nice pick up; that thing is a beast!!!!

definitely worth 3k

what is the hype over an aimara?

is it the rarity?

personality?

or something else?

same way i feel with armatus accually.

aimara are my favs because-

-size- 4'-5' adults
-notoriously the most aggresive fish on earth- ask local fisherman who come in contact with the species
-rarity- 10ish in entire U.S
very boring fish to watch other than feeding though (as with all hoplias) they just sort of sit around.

armatus don't do it for me one bit...
