Aimara is the king of Terror. Becareful when doing waterchange. I don't want to see the updated pic with a missing finger like this.

ur fish is sweet! im just givin everyone a hard time. we deff need some feeding vids!!!

jlgunen gots this right, they are amazing fish and i would take any one over any armatus in a heartbeat, aimara and hoplias are known for not being totally active, but they are extremely aggresive fish with the size and teeth to take out anything and everything. high prices are because of supply and demand a couple handfulls in the states (everybody in the fish trade loves em)- $$$$$$.

did i miss understand u?

u fell the same way about armatus,
but armatus dosnt do anything for u,
airmara just sits around,
airmara is ur fav,

i dont get it?

What he meant was, "What's the hype with an Armatus?" He didn't contradict himself. He'll pick an Aimara over an Armatus in a heart beat, though an Aimara "is a very boring fish to watch other than feeding" :headbang2

how can an aimara do it for u, and an armatus cant?:screwy:

does an aimara act just like a common wolf?

Put an Aimara and an Armatus at the same size in a tank, and you'll find out which one rules! :naughty: Bottom line, each person has his/her own "flavor" and if he likes, he pays :headbang2

they are not as boring as ppl claim them to be...both of mine, when i had two, constantly move (not fast though) all over the tank...

even with the one i have now, the black wolf, it swims around most of the time and the rest it hovers over in the middle of the tank...

feeding isnt that impressive hahaha...it doesnt really strike food with aggression...it will swim fast towards it and then pick it up or suck it in but not really "attack" it...Eman has one that eats massivores and his just casually picks them off the floor hahaha...

regardless these wolves are great fish and cool to watch in a community...for those that can and brave enough to house them in a community ahaha

when hoplias feed on live food (feeders here) i see they are voracious, anything that doesn't move isn't very interesting to them.

and i see you only have one hoplias Sp now, did it die from the other, as most peeps here predicted?

When I was moving this girl into her new tank, I was working a bag over her head & she bit right through cavilar gloves, granted the gloves took most tof the damage, but i recieved a few teeth marks in my thumb area. She looks like a prehistoric monster to me.
