great fish. I had one for awhile before it got consumed by my TSN. which i quickly sold. I use to feed it frozen BW, and FD krill
 
That looks just like the fish my LFS is selling as a silver gar, it's not a needle fish. They are asking $12.99 for it, a good deal?
 
Mine will eat just about anything they can (live and frozen are favs)and they get right into the fight for goldfish with my Aces and pike cichlid....pretty cool fish....I have one that alittle smaller than the rest of the fish in the tank tho and i had to take him out cuz he was getting roughed up pretty bad.....a pic of one....

they are cool and active preds till they get bit by an ace...cuda. my hujeta's are scared ****less of the cuda's
 
i got my hujeta to take small floating pellets on day one. i also feed small convict fry once in awhile. very interesting watching them stalk the prey... they coil in a S shape then dart at them. swallow head first every time :)
