We have two humpback and they were from Aquatica Montreal, about 2.5 inches each. We tried Krill, silversides etc.. but after 3 weeks of not eating (the store could not get then to eat either) they were pretty lean. Eventually we got desperate and added some mobile feeder fish, that got them going... although one of our daughter's recanted "Goldfish, the snack that smiles back !". They will eat mysis, shrimp whatever now... and they left their other buddies alone so they moved on to their own tank that probably six months ago now.

Cool! I got mine from Aquarium du Nord. How much you pay for yours if you don't mind me asking? Mine was about 3" and cost me $70+tax.

On a side note the little guy was eating pieces of shrimp 1 week after i got him :D, He's so cute when he eats. Any idea what the growth rate is with these little guys? The only info I found said 2cm per year...which is worse then discus

IIRC, they cost $25 approx..

BTW where is aquarium du Nord?? I know the name but I'm trying to remember where exactly it is..

eta..I have no idea of growth rates for these. ours are just over 3 inches now.and have very different personalities. One is far more intereasted in what's happening outside his tank while the other prefers to hide until manna drops from the lid.

Maybe they do grow slow n thats why i paid more :s?

It's on st. Hubert. I guess i need to check Aquatica more often, every time I went they only had Green puffers. Im surprised you got the humpback for so cheap. They sell the greens at $15

THanks for the info. I seem to remember going to a LFS round there a year or so ago..

Last time I was in Aquatica they had a cutie lil mbu for $120-ish. He's around 3 inches ATM. Sadly I'm at my mbu limit..
