stunning rays! They should be all over some nightcrawlers no problem. My rays never wanted blackworms either.

i just tried night crawlers and they didnt even show any effort for them.... i even tried silver sides, shrimp, and tilapia. NOTHING works. what should i do?? my lfs owner said they were on ghost shrimp and worms.

did u cut up worms into somewhat small pieces, this will help them want to eat it. they will eat other foods but right now there so slim anything they will eat keep feeding, no less than 3 times a day. keep trying new foods, yes it will be more work geting the un eaten food out but it will be worth it in the end. there is some info on them in string ray section of the forums. they get quite large. most important keep water clean clean, lots of water movment an air. feed no less than twice a day(but for u know no less than3) be careful of sting an do research on what to do when or if u do get stung. u dont wanna look it up if ur in pain. besides that there the coolest thing u can keep in ur tank imo, there great

Leave live foods in there 24/7. Ghost shrimp, black worms and/or Trout worms. Maybe they will eat at night.
Plus sometimes it will take a few days. Turn out light and cover tank. Any food left in their will probably be eaten by the bichir though.
But they look awfully thin, their pelvic bones look like they are ready to pop through the skin. IF they were eating at the lfs it
wasn't much. Always ask them to feed the rays in front of you before you make the purchase from any lfs.

Good luck with them. Plan on 20"+ rays in a few years. Keep the shrimp in there for now, anything will help at this point. And with the worms, unless they are really small, you may have to cut them into tiny pieces to start.

Cutt up your earthworms, blood worms whit some chopped mussel.
Cutt them up to a very fine mash.
Thats how i got my orby's to eat.
Maybe raise you temp a little.
Good Luck.
Nice patern on them btw.

i just threw a some cut up night crawlers in there. one of em checked it out but never ate it. a lot of the ghost shrimp disappeared from yesturday but i dont see any noticeable bulge in their stomach..
