My "new" Hystrix pair!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks richard and fenton, i love how they are darkening up! Pictures dont do them justice! But i have found they can actually variate from day to day when it comes to body color! Some days they are darker then others! Just gotta love Natural fish, you never know how their mood is! Its not like Blue Diamond discus, that always stays blue ;)

Appriciated :) I know your love for these fantastic rays! how is yours doing?
They are dong well. I have just 3 now; the mother, one of her pups (female), and an unrelated mature male. I will get some updated pictures soon.

I have found them to darken/lighten from day to day as well.

Update on my 2 hystrix rays, they have really darkened up. Had to put them into the main tank becouse of mating issues, the man was really bugging her, and 180 gallons was not enough to give her rest. Heres some update Pictures!

Nice and if I was to ever to buy brown rays it would be Hystrix. Their patterns kind of represent a little bit of everything in the brown ray section!

They are looking great! Hope you get some pups soon.

Thankyou bot! i Understand what you blk :D Some of the nicest Brownies. Exept for Richards Marbles, heh! I hope she gets fat soon, she has bitemarks all the time, small once tho. Also the male can now do his deed on a motoro or sp peru woman! He is a little small for them tho, but he has the guts :D

Nice hystrix great to see there development. I keep wanting a trio but trying to find some is hard. Can I ask how big are they now??
