I have always had a hard time sexing these. I always went with males having more spots and losing their stipes when mature. My last pair i had a hard time telling them apart.lol. So far this one chases my male festae away and kinda lingers around the females. thats what had me thinking male along with the color and spotting.
yeah bro it's a female but looks nice a male at that size would have a much bigger mug in it

Well I was really hoping for a male. It is a really nice lookin female especially since i have no idea what generation it is. And yes i have three festae in there, 1-male,1-female,and one unsexed(possibly female.) My end result is to get the festae to pair and then try and pair a jag up with the other one. I have two smaller jags growing out in separate tanks, cause they dont like eachother. Ever since i saw the pics of a manaconda i have wanted one so im gonna give it a shot.
