  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What's he feeding on at the min ? Try seasoning shrimp with crushed pellets to get him used to the taste (sorry to hijack the thread taking about feeding )

Oh forgot to mention he had some damage when I got him so when he's done healing up I will start. I don't wanna compromise anything with his immune system during this time

Well

I am an idiot...
Should have known better ....
Always have to learn the hard way...
It is a jar after all ...
He had never seen another aro before...
Kids crying will expedite anything( still have a feeder gold fish that they saved from a claw frog in my community tank) they really do love my silver
I am an idiot

Well I had a jeckyl and Hyde experience, he has lived peacefully with smaller fish his whole life and always been the boss of the tank with out having to fight for it. I guess going in with A larger fish triggered those famous jardini instincts. He went full psycho on me. Went on an attempted mass murdering warpath and did not discriminate between species of his tank mates....emergency lights out and a fast paced trip to homedepot for some egg crate .... A battle to rival WWII to get everyone on thier appropriate side of the tank .... I.e the jar by himself...
I am finally dried off and settled down lol

The member of my local club agreed to take him back with out hesitation; a true stand up man that I have been happy to meet and do business with. Not his fault at all...I should have known better....
I am sure people were thinking this would happen the whole time but there is no need to rub it in my face

I am ready for a shot and bed

Yea " luckily" the geophagus altifrons distracted him a little, i have been keeping a close eye on the tank all day just in case. It was like somebody flipped a light switch in the jars brain. Calm cool one minuet, homicidal maniac the next

Nothing clean water and a little salt won't fix
Every body is still at the other end of tank even with the divider up

I guess that's par for the course. Some people pull it off. But I understand u wanting to try. Possibly a much smaller jar that dosent know it's top dog would have a better chance with ur silver.
