My new Jardini

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I agree with Miguel, Nova.Starving is really the only way.I won't give crickets full stop or live feeders so it doesn't make him picky.I feed Prawns, fish fillets, meal worms and pellets. My jar wouldn't take any of these to start with.Starved him and now he is not so picky.

Congrats on the pick up.Looks a nice solid Jar for his size.

Once I get that GT off of you I'll feed it to him if he's not off feeders yet, lol, your gt would probably destroy my jar. I was going to pm you but I may as well tell you here, I'll have to postpone that trip of mine, nothing major just get to your house a week later, okay. Also we are working on dates now, get back to you in a week or so.

Ohh, btw, starving him aint going so well, the firemouths have no fry:irked: . He's only young but he's already eatting my other fish :irked: :irked: ...

...:D he's cool.

No problems.Looking foward to it.The Jar will come out of his shell soon enough though and then the GT will be his prison b#$^h(lol).Hopefully you got one that is tankmate tolerant to some extent.IMO it pays to keep fish with them early if you are to have any chance.Contrary to every thing you read ,it can be done.Good luck with him.

I plan on having him in a 6x2 by himself with a pleco, maybe some loaches if he's nice and I'll even try pushing it with some Silver Dollars. Your GT will end up in my next tank with Oscars, those two female "Silver" Saums which are now gold :irked: and some smaller cichlids and a couple of plecos. I'm scaping the whole GT colony thing until they are all full grown.

Success, my Jar ate Hikari Gold after only two days. I though I would drop in a couple extra pellets to see if he'd eat them, if not I'd remove them. Well for a fish that didn't even taste them Sunday when I feed them he's done a complete 180, he swam up and gobbled them all down with a moments hast, I was exspecting getting him off of feeders to be difficult but it was easy as. Thanks for the advice guys.

very good choice on the jar, i agree, he is stunning. my jar who's very impressive wasn't as vividly colored when she was that size. good luck on training, yes starving is the only way. and nice decor by the way
