My new JD's and One green terror

Hi, got 3 new jd's to go with the one i all ready have, will keep the one with the best color or best pair however it works out. I also found a tiny beat up green terror, less than a inch, poor thing so brought it home too. So now my new world list is like this : 4 JD, 4 acara, 9 firemouths, 2 12 inch oscars, and one green terror. Should make for a interesting new world show tank as they grow. Im pretty happy now.

Here is the itsy bitsy green terror. As you can see he needs to plump up but overall he is in great condition for where he was kept. He was housed with about 30 2 inch flowerhorns, they didnt even know he was in there !

Here are my new Jacks, cant wait to see how they mature, i just love Jack Dempsey, one of my most favorite cichlids ever (tied with Oscars and Frontosa) Now im keeping all three types, Yeah !!

Thanks everybody. I love JD's. They are so beautiful, just think how great they will look as they grow larger and develop better spangles. Im so excited i got them, i havnt kept them for about 20 yrs, got one in my batch of rescues and decided i want to go for the best color and maybe a pair, but i suspect i have all females, not sure, have to look closer after they grow for a couple months.

Anybody know how soon you can sex them ? Im assuming the way to tell is about spangles on the gill flap/lower jaw ? males dont have any, females do. any other things i should look for when sexing them ?

Yep, they sure are itsy bitsy. I like that they are all ready attractive even when so small, usually all juvies are drab at that size.
