Awesome lookin fish. I got one an he's quickly becomin one of my favorites. I actually like them better then tig's. Unless there's some difference in personality I'm unaware of. Love that tripod pose they all do. Can't wait till he gets big. What are you feedin yours mine only eats live food and only nightcrawlers and red worms. he won't eat feeders or frozen food how bout yours?

very nice. I actually prefer the look of the "false tigrinus" to the real tigrinus. I am getting a small one delivered on friday, too.

what are you feeding it?

He didn't eat the first day he was here. I'm probably going to run to the bait shop today and get some worms if he refuses krill/pellet/fillets today. I'm really trying to avoid feeding him live, but he looks a little skinny so I might throw some of my guppies in there just to fatten him up a bit.

Yeah, I personally like live mixed with pellets. I think variety really helps make the fish happy an healthy. I got one of my Gulpers to eat shrimp an am hopin to get the other eatin it soon. I don't mind feeding live fish, but I only feed fancy gold like lionheads or orandas which gets expensive. So I like to do it more as a treat than as a stable.

I think the Juruense took some bloodworms this morning before I left for work. I say "I think" because I couldn't really tell if he took the bloodworms of if he was just bolting out of the way from one of my psychotic datnoids.

My gulpers only eat shrimp...there has been a gold fish in the tank with them for about a month now...they just won't eat it. :screwy:

Forgot to add this to my post...I had (I specifically chose the word "had") 3 L. striatus that were with my datnoids to entice them to eat prepared foods...dithers of sorts. Well, when I woke up yesterday I noticed my Juruense looked all messed up...then I saw 2 of those bastards rip 2 chunks out of his caudal fin.

Long story short...I ripped everything out of the tank, scooped those bastards up and sentenced them to death by P. annectens...and my WAL doesn't allow ANYTHING to exist in his tank...I'm already down one.

I was noticing my datnoids with little nips and tears on their fins, but I never saw them do it...well I caught them in the act and soon they will be no more. :irked:
