My new kelberis are figting each other!@#!@

With out the proper information given in your original post, it's really hard to figure out the issue you are trying to resolve, for us (The helpers). As stated by bassinmike85 we are here to help you out. Now, Your kelberi's are 8'', so, lets assume that they are 6 months old. In 6 months your kelberi's will be pushing 12-14''. So you might want to upgrade. As for the fighting part. Kelberi's are fighter as well as orino's (IMO/IME, the worst two out of the cichla that are available in the US). Xingu's I have no clue, I never owned them. But, any way's, Target fish and dither will help, if not solve the fighting issue. More activity in the tank the less your kelberi's will focus on each other.

adding more would help with the issue like 2 more but i just let them fight theres always one dominant pbass
 
Russian THC , if you dont mind where or what pet store did you get them from I'm not too far from rochester and would like to check out the place that would carry them, also how much... thanks for the info
 
it was a one time thing they got em in i got them from petworld but theyll NEVER get them again some asian guy sold em cheep to them
 
I had the same issue with my Kelb and Mono, they will calm down after a while.....Good luck.
 
you need to get a 3rd bass....2 and there will almost always be a scuffle.

As far as being in the cichla section....we are here to help. But if you are rude or come off as a tool you wont get much help. A lot of us cichla guys stick together and are serious about our fish. We see alot of people come and go. So if you ask for advice....dont get mad if your told you'll need a bigger tank. Cause you will in an easy 6 months. Hope to see you stickin around.

i know ill need a bigger tank in the future im going to get a custom acrylic 1000 gal. and im new to keeping peacock bass and its going to be a while before i can afford another peacock bass these two kelberis drained my wallet
