yeah i was to because i put him in with my female which is in a 30 gallon but i fig...some guy had a 30 inch channel cat in a 29 and if they are goin to bred its there tank.,..
I once had a pair of RD in a 55. I think its better for them to interact at a young age then to put a female RD with a male out of the blue. I would add a few pots and rocks for hiding places and I think youll be ok .
a 30" channel cat in a 29......YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! come on dude. a 29 isnt even 30" at its widest spot. now id have believed a 10" oscar or something but a 30" channel in a 29 is just rediculous. go with a much larger tank for your devils and unless its a community tank get a divider or your girl will more than likely die
yeah i was goin to divid them at first but so far so good.. no fighting at all and they eat with any quarell they are under heavy watch well at least the male...and if i see him hurting my baby girl hes goin in another tank..but yea i swear the channel was in a 29
I have seen big channels in very small tanks too people do not realize how fast those fish grow when they buy them small. Just like the guy who puts the Half dollar sized pacu in his ten gallon because it looks cool like a Piranha
