I finally got my hands on a female marbled motoro! Picked her up from John at ECZS. I know his name comes with a stigma on this forum but he was nothing short of amazing with me from spending an hour on the initial phone call with me to the transaction to the follow up questions after getting her home. I have a 9" male motoro in my tank already and was wondering if he would jump right on her or ignore her. Within 2 minutes of dropping her in the tank he starting biting her disk and going at her. I separated him for now because I want her to settle in and relax she looks very stressed. My male is now flying up and down the tank going nuts because he wants at her but he's just gonna have to wait lol. Anyway, enough talking on with the pictures!

Congrats. I agree John is very good to deal with. Good luck with potential pups down the road.

I thought she was a little larger than my male but she seems to be the same size if not an inch or so smaller is this dangerous if they mate? My male became very aggressive once he put two and two together to realize she was female lol.

Just keep an eye on him. Normally bigger females or same size as males is ideal, but if they are with in an inch or two, I wouldn't worry to much. Congrats and good looking mm. Does John have a website? I ask bc the only way incould get in touch with him was aquatics worlds.com, but now that site is down

she'll darken up she came from Colombia a few days ago and made the trip to NY today so once she settles in I'm sure she will darken up especially once she starts feeding.

oh and AJ I just noticed you're from Texas. John will not ship to you since you are in a state that rays are illegal.
