very nice fish but yes he is a cross most definitly but hey DO YOU HAVE A FEMALE FOR HIM I would love some fry
He is absolutely living up to his name. I put him w/ 2 different Devil / Midas females and he wears them out by following them around the tank showing off. I am going to do a w/c and add a divider so they can get to know each other.
he has spawned with one ofmy females since my last post on this thread but the eggs were bad so I am gonne beef hiim up more be4 I try again
Awesome fish but why would you breed him if you don't know his lineage? It could be a red devil, it could be a midas, or it could be both. When you end up with fry what will you sell them as? Hybrid red devils or what?
I'm just opposed to breeding fish unless I know what they are and where they came from.

Good point Cam. He looks to have stong genes. Awsome kok stocky body and he is territorial as hell the only thing he lets be his tank is his female. I just wanna see if he's fertile and from the looks of it He may not be. His first batch went bad so I let him beef up and put him a 110 then I put another female in with him so he could do his thing and those eggs went bad too!! He is by far an awsome fish but I think he is shooting blanks. I am going to let them breed again before I decide what I am ging to do with him
