2 to 2 and a half inchs is max sixe. from what ive read. If they get anywhere near 2 and a half inchs i will move them. But i think it gonna take a while. And they seem very happy in the chi

might be upgradeing to the fluval edge . just so i have a larger footprint. and to keep my dog from drinking out the top of it lol. But then again i love how the chi fits on my end table. decisions decisions. I realy like the chi tho. Everyone who comes in the house coments how nice it looks. might get the edge and keep the chi to.
Thank u for the compliments everyone. I realy appreciate it. only thing i wish was difrent about it . is i wish it had a lid that surounded the watterfall. They got all kind of decorations for the edge modle. that would work in the chi also. They also got a stealth heater for the edge but its preset and way bigger then the one i got.
im just gonna get the edge and keep both screw it. lol i still got 4 5lbs bags of black gravle to use anyway right lol
