Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to decorate the tank? They have half to 2/3 of a 55 for now, but there is only gravel so far.

I have driftwood in with mine and they love to hang out around it.

Your going to have to invest in a much larger tank and soon. They will double in size in about a month and a half and will reach 10-12 inches in a year. they max out at about 2' so your going to need something with at least a 8'x3' footprint, but even that is on the small side for life.

I'm going to get some driftwood when I get the money. They are in most of a 55g right now, and they will have the whole thing soon enough. I plan on slowly growing them out, then trading them back to my favorite lfs when they are too big for my tank for more of a variety. They shouldn't grow tooo fast...

go to www.tenecor.com they sell custom tanks and large acryllics. def. worth it if you want these guys to grow up the right way. I'm getting a custom built 4'x4'x3' tank for my single cichla monoculus. im aiming at getting it by next fall. if you look at dieselmack's set ups, (in the member's list at the top of this page) look at his gallery. that is how peacock bass should be kept.

Man I love MFK!!!! (and in the first post I meant to put passionate if anyone wants to change it for me...)

Since I am new to pbass, can anyone please give me a little more info about them, from personal experience. Like what should I feed them/how much/how often, how do they like their water, what do they like in their tank, does anything make a good tankmate, what species do I have, anything like that.
