I realize it's a bit hopeles, because I have tried ping pong balls, lean diet, lower tank setup but nothing really worked besides a pond. But I think the fat content of there diet could reduce the amount of drop eye and I don't want to cover up the entire tank

I have a 32" Black without drop eye so I think its something with the silvers. Maybe inbred issues or maybe diet? I hate the drop eye look and I will only keep Blacks from now on.
