Note: some would recommend to keep him with the mother as his attacks towards the birth accelerate the process.... for my female it was a little bit too much, first birth with 3 pups quite big and these attacks.
Good luck with the birth... it has literally enriched my life.

Thank you all very much. This is indeed fasinating for me.
I wanted to share the pups condition after 3 weeks. They seem to be doing very well. Their diameter is about 0.5cm larger, they became thicker and seem to be learning their environment. Their way of swimming improved and they seem to be referring one to each other. Indeed an inteligent animal.
