My new old Liosomadoras Morrowi (I think?)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
New to me, too. I thought I was getting an oddball doradid. Still has all the traits I like about doradids, even if he technically isn't one. Watching him eat is like seeing the tailgate fall open when a pickup truck with a camper shell is backing up toward you. I put a red light bulb downstairs and get to see him eat all the time. Starting to suspect that he sees me and just doesn't care. Soon to move him into the 125g, I think. He's getting a round belly quickly. Seems to eat anything but hasn't touched the molly fry yet.
Looks like morrowi to me. Great fish. I've got a few myself. Good Luck.
Any personal experience-based info on these guys? I've scoured the web already and there isn't a whole lot. Articles say they fight amongst themselves, but do you think one would cause trouble in a group of raphael cats?

Updates. He's doing amazingly well. Active eater and not too shy.

I thought so too, but after comparing tail shapes, I am relatively confident it's morrowi. Not clinging too terribly tightly to the notion, since I like him no matter what he is. :D

Can you post the trachycorystes sp. you think he might be?

Nice catfish :)
