Who has started this Orange Orinoco crap?!? I'm starting to see it more and more. To me it is an out and out fabrication to deceive people into buying a fish as either A. It is not from the Orinoco or B. it is not going to be orange!

Peanut_Power;4808008; said:+1. Definitely frustrating me as well. Only thing I can think of is when those sp. 'xingu I' came in that stayed smaller, supposedly from the Rio Orinoco. If they didn't come from the Rio Xingu though not sure how they are being sold as them though. Either way its just causing a lot of confusion, and a lot of people are getting screwed over that don't know better.
That and sp. 'venezuela' being sold as lenticulata. Seeing that a lot more recently.![]()

Vennies sold as Lenticulata is dreadfully wrong & unscrupulous******
At the moment Xingu 1 'orange pike' is sought after.
Am hoping to get in some Rio Orinoco lents, Argentina vittata, and lacustris ---
maybe later this month! Still trying for marmorata and possibly acutirostris,
tigrina are on the radar.......
