Sorry for the stupid plants. He's in my fiances tank for a few days while i reseal my mine. He's gonna share his tank with a gold sev and a palmas bichir and maybe another oscar. I will have a 125 gallon for them as a permanent tank after i build the custom stand and light fixture.
no all the ones iv seen even the wild ones have the more curvy line designs, will def be interesting to see what this little guys looks like when full grown make sure to keep us posted!! Congrats on the new little guy!!
My money is betting on him being a Red Oscar. His coloring is just bad because of stress and he probably hasn't had the greatest care up until you bought him, they go through so much with shipping. I'm 99% sure he's a red.
Knifegill, I don't think it's that his eye is actually too big, he's just a baby and needs some groceries and that makes his eye look big compared to the rest of him.
Edit: Mark my words-he'll be just gorgeous in 6 months time
