My new pair of wild caught Jaguars

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've got a bunch of convict fry for now. They haven't taken anything else I've tried so far...i.e.-brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, bloodworms and of course pellets (NLS). They totally ignore all that. I had 10 baby convicts in there and all I see is 2 now. I'll keep trying to ween them onto better stuff. My pair of WC loisellei aren't finicky eaters at all. They eat everything I throw their way.

Does anyone know if live ghost shrimp from the LFS carry disease and parasites like the goldfish??

Are yours WC?? What are you feeding them?

I'll keep you updated on reproduction. I won't be as lucky as you I'm sure.

Thanks. I talked to Jeff Rapps today and he said they've been "eating pellets like there's no tomorrow". That would coincide with my pair of wild caught Loisellei. It's just taking the Jags longer to settle in than those two did. I'll be patient and keep trying. Oh and did you get the pm? Post those Jags! :naughty: Can't wait to see them.

Thanks again to everyone who's responded. You guys are great.

I am thinking of switching over to something more interesting. Alot of Rapps imports look appealing to me, I to would have to get rid of a festae to make a new fish happen though. I have got kind of attached to the little guy though.

I know what you mean, it's difficult sometimes to let a fish go. Festae are slow growers but are very interesting IMO when they finally get some size. How about a female Festae for a little more spice in your tank? Rapps has some F1's and wild caught in stock.

nice jaguar's, i got my main pair also from jeff,
F0 from nicaragua, they are great fish.
