Still some chasing going on. Thinking when I put the divider back up, having it so the female is on the side where the male dug out the pit.and the male where she was.any thoughts about this?

That might work...but she really wants her choice smooth object to deposite her eggs on...the list from the top of my head where my female has chosen to lay eggs :..inside pvc pipe..inside flower pot...on round lake rocks (little smaller than baseball size) and gravel..on drift wood( about large boot size and shape)..on flat slate driftwood base..yours may do it on the driftwood you have but I don't think it will be her #1 choice.. mine used the driftwood because the pleco I have smoothed it down...that driftwood you have looks rough..males might move gravel all day and night which indicates that they are ready but if you see the female cleaning an area (I know you got a flat rock in there too) then you know you are in business....
Nice pics...your male is a beast and your female is a beauty....and she is plump....how are their appetites?...and what are you feeding?...if they seem hungry all the time and are eating a lot then they are getting ready.....she looks full of eggs...I am going to make a prediction that your female will drop eggs within the next 2 weeks....perhaps even the next week...being that you have only had them for around just six weeks they look like they have been using that time to get into condition...
nice yawn shots...I got a few also..really like when they do that....I sometimes wonder when my jag does it frequently when I am around is it a stimulus response type thing in which he is priming his jaws to eat(hungry or not)to the presence of the one who provides the food...
Nice update shots chefwill love the yawn shot , mine are still OK no injuries yet I keep expecting to turn the light on to eggs and carnage
Looks like yours are well on the way to having fry
Nice gar BTW I keep toying with the idea of getting one but I think my jardini will fold it in half
