Just picked up a Palembang puffer, he is in my 29 gallon tank. Seems pretty happy, had a small scare this morning when I realized there wasn't enough bacteria for him in the filters had to get tetra safe start for him yikes. He needs to be treated for ip for sure but can't currently find the tablets I use (lost in my room!) So I gotta clean today and find em.

Sorry for giving a false ID from when I saw him. Did you get him from hoffers or the fish factory? I'm happy to see he got a good home!

He is about 3inches exactly, I was so surprised when they were still so tiny cause the guy I talked to on the phone said they had been there since april. I'm hoping he didn't get a bit stunted actually, and he has a decently bad case of ip convinced him to eat a bit of medicated shrimp today till he got a small lump but only if I dropped it all the way down to him =.=

It's okay cheesehead, I am really bad with iding puffers it was still nice of you to check for me to see them in stock cause the guy that helped me find them in store kept claiming they were out lol.

Oh no problem, anything to get awesome puffers to a new home ;). How long do you soak your shrimp? I am trying to figure out the right amount of time to soak mine for my ctenopoma.

I feel like a good amount of time is 1-2 hours, anything under 15 minutes isn't considered very useful.

mine is obsessed with hunting snails, he's been doing it pretty much all day.

That's one of my favorite things to watch my puffer fish do. But he is getting mad he can't get this one where none of its flesh showing.
