Your palembang hunts snails? If so thats impressive, since my old pair wouldn't even bat an eye for snails... As for the size, at 3" that is definitely one small PB... i wonder how fast they will grow at that size / age... coz my pair i kept for about 3 years and honestly didn't seem like they grew too much...
 
Ya I wonder how fast he will grow too, he's in a 29 solo and he apparently likes snails. I read that most don't but I tried some test ones and he didn't rest till they were all gone.

I've seen what would easily be a 10"+ pair... Wanted to take a photo but the owner was anal about taking pics...

He is starting to settle in to his tank now, he's current favorite place is on the log piece behind a plant hidden from view from all but one angle. Otherwise he spends most of his time slowly patrolling his tank for snails to pick off he almost seems more like he is drifting then swimming. I like him a lot he gets shrimp medicated shrimp or snails, and he will already come to the glass to beg for food when he notices me by the tank.

^ in person its quite impressive the size they can get to... Although i wonder if they get more "lazy" in their older age...
