I'm so jealous of your petco, mine sells nothing but tetras an a couple of the real comman african an American cichlids.

I am about to go get some from my petco. They have some at 9.99 also. Petco can order different things, but their stock is up to who orders and what is available on the stock list.

Be carful of what you wish for, I don't hope that PetCo starts to carry cichla. It will make cichla the new age common Oscar, 18" fish in a 50 gallon tank with HITH.

With the ID in question my best guess with those pictures and at that size is a Cichla from Petco is probably a Farmie Mutt Mono/Ocell from Segrest, especially for that price.
