Thanks dan, how is your spotted gar? Do you have it in with your new ray?

funny story !!

my spotted gar well errrrm ........ became lunch  :irked:

my Albino Red Oscar made short work of it, i experimented and it all went horribly wrong, i added 2 3-4" suncats to the tank when the oscars were still present and they were left alone, i also added a 5" bichir which was also left alone so i thought i'd take a risk and within seconds of putting it in it met it's fait,

Bad bad judgment by myself i hold my hands up i messed up real bad, but we live and learn.

My Ray's doing great she's piling on the weight now i'm feeding her 3 times a day 3-4 worms per feed time yesterday the greedy ***** tok 6 worms in one sitting :D

i got another little lovley coming on tuesday which i'm sure will make you moist :naughty:

you wanna hazard a guess ?

S _ _ _ _ _ _ / T _ _ _ _ / F _ _ _ ;)

Wes - I'll hold onto it just a little longer hombre ;)

If you call dibs I need an export license first

Dan - sorry to hear man, how big was the gar? surely not smaller than the sun cats? Stupid oscar!

I am afraid I can't decrypt your clue at all.

You sold all your oscars Dan? I am getting sick of my oscar. Too greedy, doesn't let any other fish get any food, makes a mess of the tank, but the main thing is it is constantly picking on my 14 inch clarias, which is a long time favourite of me and my girlfriend. It also bullied my aro, which is why the aro is now in the growout tank.

When my cobra snakehead hits about 10 inches I am tempted to throw my oscar in there and let the channa demolish it. Good idea? This though only occured to me because people don't keep fish here, so I can't even give it away. If I buy a fish I am stuck with it, unless I feed it to another fish.

Siamese Tiger Fish !!! comes tuesday :cool-1:

And i also got a Red head Geophagus coming from Dangerouse Dan !

the gar was 5" long it got sucked up like a noodle spat back out then sucked back up again.....

I would have kept the oscsars if the missus would have allowed me another tank .... but as we all know women rule the roost!

Excellent Dan, how big is it?

BTW Cubans are not pussies. They are more aggressive than spotted gars.

YEsterday it snapped at my cobra snakehead when the channa stole a piece of prawn the gar was going for, then later they had a little scuffle. The snakehead has a habit of herding other fish in the tank, nudging them around and bullying them.

I saw him doing this, then was doing some work, when I heard a big splash, and saw the 2 fish darting off. When I went to check the snakehead had a chunk missing from his tail.

When I checked on the fish this morning though, the cuban has a split anal fin >_< It must have been the aro.
