zennzzo;3887384; said:So you say it has a wet/dry included? Did you see it set up where you got it?
or
was it already broke down ready to move?
Acrylic is like going from steel to Carbon fiber huh?
I almost split my gut when I moved around my 6' glass tank, then when you work around an empty Acrylic tank, you are forever pulling it back towards you...When you fill it, it will stay put...
It sounds like this is your first Monster & Acrylic tank all in one...let me suggest using the "NOVUS" scratch and polish system...Best on the market and priced reasonable, many sizes too, so you do not have to invest in gallons of the stuff...If you got deep scratches, invest in a "Polisher/Buffer" runs slower than a grinder with a buff pad, not an orbital car waxer type a rotary polisher...That and the Novus and you can polish this tank to look better than new... >> http://www.skygeek.com/novus-combo.html <<
And remember I know where you can get an endless supply of SCRUBBIES for that wet/dry sump filter... I know this dude see...and...![]()

zennzzo;3887404; said:Here is another thing you need to know about Acrylic...those cracks are easier to fix than silicone'ing glass... Acrylic is put together by "Chemical Welding"
there are cements available that when applied to Plexi, it melts both surfaces and they mix on a molecular level, then when it hardens the two pieces are now one...the "weld" is now stronger than the original Plexi it bonded together...best part is, any caveman can do it, once you learn the technique...
Bio-Balls are OK but I believe SCRUBBIES offer more surface area for Bacteria to colonize in a given space...
I sell SCRUBBIES for 25pcs=$6.00
a cubic foot requires 192 SCRUBBIES
measure out your Bio-chamber in Inches LxWxH
for example;12"x12"x12"=1728" then divide by 9=192
SCRUBBIES are 3" dia and 1" thick (3"x3"x1"=9)
Simple easy to calculate what you need...
When you are ready, just PM me...
I ship Intergalactic, and I accept PayPal as well...
