My New Pike Need Species ID

i just bought this pike today, its about 5-6 inches.can anyone tell me what species it is? and are pikes rare to find in your LFS? thx

possibly a johanna. tough to say cuz the bag pictures arnt super clear and he's probably very stressed. maybe more pics when he's settles down for awhile. nice pike tho. crenicichla are the best. :)
 
ok ill take some pics later after he's settled in. he's changed from the dark color in the pics to a light greyish white with a black stripe on the side of his body. red line along the top of his dorsal fin and red eyes. the tank at the lfs said he will reach 8inches. are pikes very rare? i paid a pretty penny for this guy compared to other fish iv bought. more pics to come.
 
there are around 100 species of pike I think, so yes many of them are rare. They aren't hard to get if you want one though, or so it seems to me. How much was he?

I just gave one away, and another member here is giving one away. But it's a great start.
 
o well im not worried about the money i spent, just want to know what species it is so i can research it a bit more. ill post some better pics tonight.

u guys in the states get all kinds of crazy deals on fish stuff. up here its very hard to find good deals on used tanks and fish ect... but i still love where i live:D
 
if it is a johanna are they very rare to find in lfs? how much would a 5-6 inch one normaly sell for?
 
sorry, but they dont worth much : | prolly 15 bux for a 5-6" sad how such a cool fish worth so lil :|
