my new pond...pics

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i had a small 80 gal goldfish pond where this one is so i put that gravel in the bottom along with new gravel, pond seems to be clearing faster and i just added the gravels yesterday (the old gravel i mean).

well the pond is basicly squar, so i put a bug wrinkle in each corner and there are a few little wrinkles along the sides, but its not like it affects the fishes health (wicj is really all that matters to me) as for the rocks, i just picked them up and set them where i needed them to be, execpt the one in the south east corner it was about 250 lbs so i rolled it the best i could and placed it over a 1 1/4" pvc pipe thats sunk in the ground for overflow.

right now theres two guppies in it, big pond for two tiny fish, and i only put about 1 lb of salt per 200 gallons so ill add more.

and also the liner is firestone 45mil wich is really thick and rubbery and doesnt scrunch up when you walk on it like the 20mil stuff that comes in pond kits.

Thoght they looked bigger.

Hey, you know what they say about fish growing to the size of their environment, I can see it now 'MONSTER PREDITOR GUPPIES...BEWARE !'

That is a good pond. I build ponds for a living not easy work, but when we do them we rock the whole thing in so that there is no sign of liner at all, protects it against uv damage. The company that supplys our pond kits, the owner has a pond made of one big liner that is 2 acres. Technically you can make your pond what ever size you want. Just to put a hole in it that would suck when trying to find the leak!
