Got this littlen two days ago, been told she's a Congo puffer she's about 1.5 inch, lively little bugger she is and loves bloodworm and mussels ps I don't know she a girl that's just what we have called her lol, just thought I would share and thanks for looking

This is a Fahaka Puffer (Tetraodon Lineatus), not a Congo Puffer (Tetraodon Miurus). They are lots of fun to keep.

Do you think it is? I was actually thinking the same thing but was told Congo, I haven't seen either this small before so was just going to grow her out to see, I know how fun they are I also have a dragon puffer (tetraodon palembangensis) which not to active has lots of personality, thanks ben

I've owned both Congo's and Fahaka's and can say that is 100% a fahaka...

I hope you have space for this little guy setup already, since at that size, with good diet and everything, you should see it hit 12"+ within a year or less...

What size tank you got this little fella in at the moment?

Hi thanks for the info, she's in a 2.5ft x 1.2ft x 1.2ft at the moment, but I was thinking about putting my sa ca cichlids in an indoor pond anyway so just gives me an excuse to get going on it then little one here can have there 150g once she's a bit bigger

^ Sweet, your puffer should be happy once in its new home, and i guess its also good thing you at least had a tank ready...
