I've often wondered to this day if my eyes somehow deceived me, but even my girlfriend that day saw them and said the same thing...

As for sexing, sadly just by looking alone i personally never saw any real difference between the male and the female, except the male was very lazy and never moved from his spot, while the female would randomly be at different spots in the tank chilling out...

But yeah, i actually started with one palembang, then was offered a 2nd one for free by another store a few months later, since at the 2nd store these guys werent selling too well..

So at first i thought i had 2 males or whatever, and then one day after about 1-2 months, i noticed my male was out of his cave hovering over an area fanning something, at which point i noticed eggs...

I think it was after i tried to rear their eggs on the 3rd time and failed that i sold the fish to a 3rd lfs that was interested in breeding them...

Although sadly even that store has since closed down... So unfortunately have no idea the fate of that pair...

Always a pain when you can't get a pic of something great Ay, shame on the breeding part would have been very good to do May have to have a go at that, think mine must be a female based on that then because she moves a surprising amount

Well, to be fair i've only dealt with my pair, so hard to say if judging by movement alone you could sex a puffer...
