got my new fish... i finally decided what i wanted. left the LFS with a longnose hawkfish and an engineer goby, with a pair of blue leg hermits too. £25 the lot. :)

but as easily as life gives you something, it can take it away twice as fast...

as i was aclimatising my new purchases, i notice some water on the stand... you can see where im going... the tank that has had everything swimming in it had finally given up... an old repair job (done like 10 yrs ago) had give up. was gutted, have spent the last 4 hrs moving evrything out of the old tank and setting up the new one...

at least i found it when i did... i might have woken up to a flooded room, ruined flooring and dead stock.

anyhoo heres a pic of one of my new purchases, couldnt get one of the goby. wouldnt sit still long enough.

Ta bigG, really pleased with them. the goby is still a bit shy, but i was expeting that. its appeared this morning, probably looking for some food

and ive woke to no deaths, i was expecting at least one due to the stupid amount of stress those fish where under. they even took some frozen brine (looked a bit thin in the shop), so i guess theyre happy so far... after the day i had yesterday i'll take anything:)

heres a pic of my clown and the hawkfish chillin with one of my nems

nice! I am planing on getting one of those hawkfish too.
I like the arrangement of your liverock btw :)

thanks. im hoping to get more corals to fill in the gaps though. i want a kenya tree coral for the right hand side. or at least some thing branchy, either that or some sort of leather coral. would make a change from the mushrooms, button polyps and green star polyps i have in there already.

kenya tree looks good but after a while you will get tired of them. they grow like weeds!

have you thought about neon Green Star Polyps? I know they grow like crazy too but they look better than kenya trees IMO...
