My new ray: CB motoro pup

I just got this cute little guy in yesterday. Only 14 days old and he is tiny - just over 3" in diameter. I didn't even know motoros were born this small. He's a cool little ray but seems to be taking a little while to settle in. He's shoen a little interest in food but hasn't really eaten much yet - my little retics unfortunately swarm all over him and steal it if he takes too long.

divide the lil bugger first until its eating fine.

Most motoros are born at 3.5" to 4" in diameter.

I would seperate him immediately and offer him tons of live blackworms. Their mouths are very small at this age and only tiny foods can be eaten.

By the way, where did you get him? Is this one of the NY pups on Aquabid?

Well I separated the little guy into a corner of the aquarium with a piece of clear perspex I had lying around. Unfortunately it doesn't leave him much room so I'm thinking about only separating him at meal times. My retics have gone absolutely crazy trying to get across the divider. They spend hours blowing sand underneath it and trying to squeeze across - it's pretty funny

Oh and Colin - yes this is one of the pups from the guy in NY. This was his only male but I believe he still has 3 or so females left. He did a fantastic packing job.
