My New Red Devil

The pearling may also have something to do with age... Younger devils/midas seem to have more pearls in the body and fins, whereas older ones may lose most if not all of the pearling. Genetics are the key!

Interesting. I have 2 WC male Labiatis and 2 WC females. One of my pairs has spawned already, and not one of my 300 fry have the pearling in the fins.

My other 2 are showing signs of wanting to spawn, I guess I will have to look for that. Maybe I just never noticed.

ok i found out he is a F2 red devil his grandparents are wild caught but after one spawn the male killed the female so the guy tookk the babys grew them up picked the ones with the most orange bred those together and now i have the only red devil that he got out of it that was all orange with no black
