my new ride... s14 baby!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
20k is a realistic estimate actully...unless you want to end up with something thats broken every weekend. It's not just about preformance but rather reliable preformance.

If your not a fast drifter...then your a half fast drifter....

congrat on S14..although it's koki type..that SR20DET awesome pal.so what ur future plan??street, drift, weekend setting??:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

:irked: As I said, it all depends on your ability and the level you want to compete at. If you're a noob who's never owned a RWD car and is just getting into it then dumping $20k into a car is going to be a big waste of money. Over here I could buy and build a reliable drift-worthy car for around half that amount in NZ$.
One of NZ's top drifters suggested that anyone looking to get into the sport should just buy a cheap skyline/silvia (they're hardly rare here, you can get a turbo R32 for around $2-3k) chuck in a set of coil-overs, a 3" exhaust and hit the track and start learning. Don't worry about spending money on the car until you're getting good enough to compete at a high level.

skills > money

So true.. a true drifter can drift the car without the fancy suspension/huge horsepower/fancy tires/etc..

We don't need another Nick Hogan viper wrecker...

Do what you like and have fun with the car. It will all whether good or bad chalk up to learning experiance for future projects.
