Just wanted to share my project on my new 450g SA community. The project is not fully done yet as I am missing alot of things like lighting, substrate, driftwood. As of now the tank is bare but filtration is all set up. For stock so far are 3 x Silver Arowana, 2 x Ocellaris Pbass, and a RTC. Later will be adding a RTC/TSN also hoping to add a Temensis, other species Pbass and maybe a black Arowana. Anyhow here's the beginning of my project.

Sorry for the crappy quality grainy picture.

Enjoy

Thanks for viewing and please comment on any new ideas and advice might want to add to my project.

Thanks guys and it was a big jump from the 225g. Who knows what my future plans would be for these monsters when they hit adulthood but for now this will be there home for a few years. I just can't wait to make their home more cozy as I find the bare tank look so bleh...

Really nice size tank with good filtration. Makes me wanna upgrade my tiny 125 long. :)

If I were you, I wouldn't add and gravel, just put in some nice pieces of driftwood with plants attached.

Thanks. For the filtration I'm using 3 FX5s loaded with biomax, Emp400, AC110 for mechanical(I know HOB filters...) and 2 x 1200gph Hydor Powerheads for extra circulation... This filtration set up is just temporary cuz later on in the future I will be doing a dual overflow sump. Just waiting to move into a house then I will do the sump.

Also u should upgrade, just do it!;)

epic, glass tank?

Yes it's all glass, 3/4" thickness all around.

Ya I thought about that as Substrate can be a pain in the butt to maintain.

damn nice! more pics!!

Here are some random shots of the stock. The 3 Aros from smallest to biggest are 15"-17". I couldn't get all 3 Aros in 1 picture but I'll try another attempt later. Largest one is on a growth spurt and he can take about 4 full market prawns in 1 serving. He also eats about 3-4 Lake Smelts. The 2 larger ones have developed DE already:( but the smallest one at 15" still has perfect eyes:).

Again sorry for the crappy shots. Trying to learn how to take better pics with a point and shoot...
