Just wanted to share my project on my new 450g SA community. The project is not fully done yet as I am missing alot of things like lighting, substrate, driftwood. As of now the tank is bare but filtration is all set up. For stock so far are 3 x Silver Arowana, 2 x Ocellaris Pbass, and a RTC. Later will be adding a RTC/TSN also hoping to add a Temensis, other species Pbass and maybe a black Arowana. Anyhow here's the beginning of my project.

Sorry for the crappy quality grainy picture.

Enjoy

wow. very nice. where did you get the stand made?

It was custom made by my LFS's stand builder.

Also updates on some new additions on my SA Amazon Project. 13" Pacu and a 2ft Leiarius longibarbis Catfish. I rescued them both from a LFS and the Pacu was for free:D, the catfish I got for dirt cheap. Picking them up on Tuesday, can't wait!:)

The tank and stand were both custom built by my friend's LFS's custom tank and stand builder.

Story of the rescue.

First of all I was only going to rescue a 16" Pacu and a 20" Leiarius marmoratus(Marble pim catfish) that were housed in different 100g tanks at a LFS and I've seen them there forever. I was told they were traded in by customers who grew them in 100-120g tanks and they didn't know what they were getting themselves into...I really felt bad for the monsters so I decided to rescue them and it was a great deal that was hard to refuse hehe. Had to pay for the catfish and the Pacu was for free:D In the end though I ended up rescuing a 3rd because while the workers at the LFS was catching the large catfish it flew out of the net and fell 6' from the ground...It injured itself from either the tank lid or one of the bottom tank's corner. There's a huge gash on the right side:( so I bought some melafix to speed up the healing process. I am still happy to rescue him as they offered me a reinbursement with a 13" Giant redfin Gourami which was also for free with the Pacu. I was happy because that's 3 large monsters for the price of 40 bux CAD:WHOA:. The LFS seemed even more happier for me taking them off their hands lol. In the end I'm very happy with the rescues/new additions I got and I love how Giant redfin Gourami added more colors to the scene:D. I was never really a big fan on Giant Gouramis until I saw this one. But I give them about 2 years in this tank til I start planning their Monster DIY indoor tank/pond.

Here's a quick shot and I will take some more closeups another day. It's getting late and I got work early tomorrow.
