I painted the back of the tank black.(did that awhile ago when I had fish. I then chose what peices of cork bark/driftwood I wanted to silicone to the back. Notice the rounded peice of cork in the middle of the tank. I put that there for easy access to the filter.

Here is the whole lay out siliconed on to the back. I would have used more driftwood/cork bark if i could do it over. The two bottom peices are siliconed to the bottom so they dont float when the water is added.

I used egg crate to create the skeleton for the land area.

all cut out. I siliconed peices of wood to the side of the tank to help support the eggcrate.

I used greatstuff to create the 3d background effect. http://www.greatstuff.dow.com/greatstuff/cons/images/gap.jpg

After the great stuff is cured you have to add the texture to the great stuff. I used coco fiber and silicone. Make sure the coco fiber is dry before you put ot over the silicone. I put it on semi wet and much of it fell off and it didnt help the silicone dry any faster.

adding the silicone and coco fiber to the greatstuff.

I used fiberglass mesh to cover the eggcrate and eventually put coco fiber mixed with jungle earth substrate over the mesh.

As for decorations- 2 bromiliads, 1 potho, branches from lfs, rounded stones from lake , java fern, and slate rocks. i will be adding more plants a lil later. I will also be adding my dehimidifier set up for the fogging effect.
