give it a go m8, u never know untill u try, good luck if u decide to anyway.

Rethink the lateral supports as your working with 6000lbs that can corkscrew into the ground if not properly supported and may just rip away from a false wall. Check out some of the other large stands on here for bracing ideas.
This is going to be a sweet addition to your home too.
To mess with people put a mirror front under the tank, it gives the illusion of being open underneath.
Keep us the good work & postings,

excellent advice all round, my beams in the floor run straight through into the concrete in the kitchen and have brick walls every so often underneath them (its an old mineing house). ur mirror idea sounds interesting but i wanted gravel on the bottom and an 8x2 mirror would be hard to come by or very expensive. I am going to put alot more supports on the stand as i was worried about the corkscrew, im working on that atm.
Thanks for the advice Dr joe, and thanks for the compliment, i think it will look pretty cool when done

that would look so good!
i might have to try that
yeah a very good idea indeed, thanks
flyin lizard;2748226; said:I would run a diagonal braces in the corners front and rear then one on the sides , that way it will not twist and your center sections are still open for access front and back. Still a very good looking job...
im placing L brackets in each corner and plenty of diagonal braces all round so hopefully will work out fine, i hope
