Ok so it won't let me upload the pics but yes indeed it was tempered. lol
Once I get the pics uploaded it's pretty sweet. I'm not pissy about it I pretty much knew it was going to happen. So i'm cool with it. Now I just have to get ahold of the glass palce and see what it is going to cost to get new and have them drill them. I think somewhere around 100 bucks or so. but i'm not sure. Oh well..

Koop...it's not your technique, it the fact that it's tempered...
Nobody, even your glass shop can drill tempered glass.
Just measure the size you need and get a thicker piece of regular plate glass or a piece plexiglass and silicone it in...
then do your holes again...

Phew! Just read the whole thread in one go. Great project - massive tank! Looks like you got a lot, but worthwhile, work in front of you! Finishing this tank, converting the basement to your new fishroom AND you're gonna be a dad!

I'm going to TSC to look at stock tanks this weekend. i know that the ACE hardware has stock tanks up to 150 gal. but it's to wide to be put behind the tank but the 100gall would fit and should be less the 100. So that's the way i'm going now. I think. i'll know more when I see the prices . I know that the 150 ACE has they want 120 for it so the 100gal should be less the $100 I hope. but TSC should be even cheeper.
