My new tank (first real MONSTER)

I did some more work to the tank today. I reworked the selas on the stand pipes. And resealed the joints leading to the sump. I got new rubber washers for the stand pipse. Which I think was the problem in the first place. So now I put about 6 gold fish in the tank. I will let them slowly cylce the tank.

I still need to build my spraybars. and get my top and heaters. I did not make it to the glass shop yesterday like I thought I would. I ended up getting stuck in Toledo buying a nice bicher. So the glass shop was closed by the time I made it there.

I need to fine out how to get the overflow noise down It is really loud right now. and I am NOT fond of it.

Oh well. I am geting up in the morning and going back to ace to get the stuff I need to make my spraybars. I didn't get it tonight b/c I forgot what sice fitting I needed for the pumps. But I will get up and get that done before I leave the house to when I get home I can hopefuly get it done before I have to go to bed b/c I start 1st shift this week.

Should have something more tomorrow.

im so jealous i just got my 265 up and cycling i cant want to see pics
 
I would do a crazy community set up with thousands of random small fish. It would be pretty interesting to look at. But then again half of me says the biggest fish money can buy.

LOL I thought the same thing at one time. But my G/F has a little comunity tank that's only 54 gallons and there is like 50+ fish in it. there Would litteraly be 500+little fish in this tank if I did that. but I have found that at least the gold fish do not like the amount of current created by my pump and there is only one running not the two I have planned.



I got my check vavles today but I do not plan on working on the tank till this weekend. I had plans for saturday but they fell through. I will be working on the tank now if I am not out cuting wood. I do not know when I will be making it over to the glass shop for the top now. I need to get a friday off or find out when that place closes. and go after work. but right now I need to get the heaters first. I think that should be priority and then I can get the cycle really going.

I'll post some pics maybe saturday or sunday.

haha. wow 50 gallon community is crazy enough itself lol. good luck with the new tank, cant wait to see pics!
