What else do I need to do to the water ? The tank is empty no fish I will add the fish Monday or Tuesday
Any

Thanks very much guys very much aprciated thanks !

Didn't you say in another post your dad wouldn't let you have a large tank? Therefore you shouldn't house a large fish. And while I truly hate "that guy" and hate being him myself. But if you don't know what you need to add to water. Or don't in this case. You shouldn't be keeping large fish that need alot of care and space.

If you just added new freshwater - there are no filters atm then you need to let the tank cycle before you consider adding any fish to it. I would make sure its decholrinated first for sure - considering it sounds like your water is sitting stagnent, I remeber reading somewhere to get efficent gas exchages going on and for decholornating water the natural way you need to have some sort of areation. Most people fom what I have seen have a large cylinder jug type set up with airstones or powerheads. I personally would not let my water sit stagnent anyways. As for cycling your tank you can do it many different ways just make sure it is cycled before putting in your fish - otherwise you may not have fish.

Whatever you say boss. Just remember. Do what's good for the fish. Not what's good for you. Declor your water. Set up a filter. And cycle it. You don't really add anything other then water conditioner to a healthy tank generally. And prepare for a 3 foot fish on average if taken proper care of. Still a bit smaller then the giant snakeheads you were asking about though.

can you pls send me that link to that fourm? or unless my sister was messing around on my account

Agreed your tank must be cycled before you can add any fish. Read this http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?224559-Cycling-and-You and ask any questions you have before you put anything in your tank.

True. And don't try to rush things if this tank is brand new. Trying to shave time usually ends up setting yourself back to the beginning with casualties.
Patience at this point is very important.
