  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Can't wait to see that baby full of fish!!!

Man that looks sweet! :headbang2

I am picking up a new 180 on Saturday, i went with two overflow, would love to see some more shots of how you setup the plumbing.

Here we go with my plumbing... i'll start from the top drain..

1st picture: (front overflow)

-Built-In overflow size - 10 x 6 inches

-Grill on Overflow - 1 1/2 inch

2nd Picture: (back of overflow)

- two drains; each drain is 1" bulkhead

-return is 1" pipe split into a tee with reducer to 3/4"

3rd picture: (bottom of overflow box)

-3 bulkheads; 2 drains and 1 return. All bulkheads are 1"

4th picture: (Bottom of the tank)

- two drain hoses were clamped using stainless clamp 1"

-Return vinyl tubing was double clamp using plastic clamp

5th picture: (Wet/Dry)

-two drain hose goes to the wet/dry filter, clamped with stainless clamp 1"

6th picture: (Sump and pump plumbing)

(Sorry can't totally take a picture on the wet/dry and sump. they are both separate with total dimension of 48Lx20Hx13D. They are connected using 1 1/2 bulkhead provided by CPR)

- Drain bulkhead 1"
- PVC Pipe 1" Cemented on the bulkhead
-Reducer used from 1" FPT to 3/4" MPT for pump inlet (Mag Drive 18 has 3/4" in/out)
-Reducer used from 3/4" FPT to 1" FPT (Reason for increase in size-less lag on water pump)
-Ball Valve connected with 1" niple to Check valve.

7th picture: (Connection to the UV Sterilizer)

- Elbow 1" PVC cemented to Hosebarb fitting 1"
- Vinyl Tubing 1" to elbow hosebarb
- Aqua UV provided 3/4" Hosebarb fitting (I took it off and replaced it with a 3/4" MPT x 1" hose barb.

8th picture.. last one... (Pvc Hosebarb to UV to tank again.)

- Final one is on uv sterilizer both in/out were using hosebarb and clear vinyl tubing. Return to tank with two outlet sized at 3/4"

(A word of advise.... you would need to plan it first properly. You will definitely need hose clamps either plastic or stainless, pvc cement. Don't do it the way I did it... i kept on ordering online and driving to home depot, I got a fickle minded plan... but at last I decided to do it the way it looks now.)

Sorry for the load.
